The A's had a few chances to extend their lead over the indians but didn't need it after a game ending Double play. Mike Enemark hit his 3rd home run of the year going 3 for 4 knocking in 2 runs. Mitch Tucker went 4 for 4 with 2 runs and Bill Baxter went went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. Bob Bowman and Gordy Hodgson combined to keep the indians down as the defense played well behind them.
Scott McKenna Threw 9 innings giving up 4 hits and 1 run as the the offence pounded out 16 hits and 12 runs. McKenna also had four hits and 2 RBI's at the plate. Miguel Lopez returned to the line up with a bang with 3 hits, 2 RBI's and 1 run. Gordy Hodgson plated 3 RBI's on 2 hits and made some nice plays at first filling in at first.

The A's bounce back to beat the Cubs 11-4. The defense stayed strong behind Bob Bowman who threw a complete game scattering 9 hits and walking 2 to get the win. Dustin Emswiler had three hits including a triple and 2 RBI's. Scott Himes, Brendon Parnell and John Hansen each had 2 hits.
The A's played their worst game of the year propelled by 8 errors and a bad call by the Umpires. Scott McKenna was denied a Home Run as the Umpires missed the call and the Cardinals beat the A's 9-5.
